Description
Pomodoro App is a beautiful and easy companion for the popular Pomodoro Technique. Use your iPad to stay focussed throughout the work day!
About the Pomodoro Technique
The Pomodoro Technique was created by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a timer to break down activities into 25-minutes intervals. These intervals are called Pomodoros. During a Pomodoro you focus only on the selected activity and prevent distractions and interruptions as much as possible. Once the time is up, stop working for a 5-minute break and relax. Then wind up the timer again and continue your work. Every 4 Pomodoros you can take a longer break, eat something, make a walk or even take a power nap.
How do you know which activity is next? You start your day with a planning phase. Write down new activities into your inventory. Estimate how many pomodoros each activity will take. If it takes more than 5 to 7 Pomodoros, break it down. Combine tasks which take less than 1 Pomodoro. Then select the activities you want to finish today. Put the most important activity on the top of the list, the least important on the bottom. Then begin with the first activity and watch your progress throughout the day. Replan if necessary.

Customer Reviews
Pretty good but still needs improvement
This app has a great interface and the ui is pretty polished but I can still see the need for some improvements:
--The wind up clock should have tick mark labels on it (available through a setting) so I don't have to count blocks when setting the time.
--Alarm is way too jarring. I jump every time I hear it. Need option to set custom alarm sound or at least include a softer alarm!
--Need unplanned & urgent list under todo today list
--Add due date column
--Implement a simple statistical graph of how many pomodoros are dome each day
Alarm
Overall it is a great app. The only problem is the alarm that you can't change the sound.
great app for pomodoro lovers
best pomodoro app available with real nice interface and some handy features. It would be better if it can automatically start a break after each pomodoro and after every 4 a long break. Also, I'd like to have more choices with alarm sounds.
