Primal mysticism with cinematic overtones.
by eTripperI first heard the artist "Mystical Sun" at the BLUEMARS "Music for the Space Traveller" site. This led me to the Waveform Records site were Mystical's cuts are featured on various (4 A. D. and other) compilation CD's. Later investigation, led me to Last.FM for a more in-depth listening experience. The first cut "2012" is a blistering, plugged-in, jazz-ambient, tour-de-force. Deeperworlds moves from mysticism, to tribalistic beats, to electronic dub/funk and emphasized rhythmic wizardry. Mystical's sound always acts as an aural catharsis, where the ride is much more important, than the destination. This must explain his appeal to the GOA crowd. His approach is much more fully realized,
than say, Moby. If your familiar with: Zero One, Sounds from the Ground, Code Indigo, Hooverphonic, and Bluetech, then Mystical, will deliver
on many different subconscious levels. It could even be called a type a ambient acid-jazz with cinematic effect for added kick. A few standout tracks are: " Blue Magnetic Ocean" and the run-up tune "Innerworld". Mystical seems always concerned with the final output, therefore he always seems to build on his previous efforts to great effect. Whereby, quality becomes self-evident with each listen. His new album: Energy, Mind, Conscience is an excellent offering of dark-space ambience. If you like the electronic genre, then Mystical is one of the top purveyors in this style. Highly recommeded.

The Definitive Psybient Downtempo release
by DS4DI got this album in '07 and have not stopped listening since. There are many stand out tracks, but my all time favorites are "2012", "In Between Orbits" and "Blue Magnetic Ocean"
Am I the only one to notice the release date is 12/21/06 and that the Mayan calendar ends on 12/21/12? This release has a track called "2012" and they released it exactly 6 years before 2012!
Each track is different and almost a different genre, I guess that is why they called it Deeper worlds.
A must for your collection, also grab all of Ultimae and Interchill releases.
