by Fires22I was fortunate to catch these guys at a show in Phoenix. You know music is good when everyone in the the place is seduced by the music and has a big grin on their face as if nothing else mattered. Wow, I was instantly a fan. Great musicianship and comanding presence makes their live show a must. Then I bought the songs on Itunes and low and behold a masterpeice. I am thankful to have bumped into such greatness. Now I will remove my lips from the Kongos A*s and leave happy.

by picozozHeard them for the first time on Y-Rock. The song they were playing was In the Music. Looked them up and downloaded the whole CD. I love every song. Their sound is world influenced. Creative, talented(love the piano and accordion), emotional and some songs just make you want to get up and move. Thank you for making tax weekend bearable. I listened to the CD nonstop. I hope they come to Pittsburgh. I will be first in line to buy a ticket.
PS my husband is a music junky and is daily searching the web for new music. He had not heard of Kongos but was impressed and was glad I had bought the CD. I am so proud I found them first.

by BF WomanI first heard "In the Music" on the radio and then desperately tried to contact the station to find out who the artist was. I had to wait for 24 hours to get a response and when I finally listened to all the clips in itunes I was so pleasantly surprised! Every song is great and Kongos' unique and mature sound is what caught my ear in the first place. They are coming to Portland soon and I can't wait to hear them live!
