Marvelous!!!
YES !!!!
I just interview these boys in New York, and my lord, they are luscious sex pots on stage. The good news is, they are a humble/fun bunch in person. First off, I usually hate lookers, because their music never has depth, or takes a chance. Well, after 10 listens in a row, I give you my word.....this is the year's BREAKOUT record. Who does it sound like?? SCISSORS FOR LEFTY. What does THAT sound like??? ORIGINAL & REBELLIOUS!!!
Ornamental & Lighter Than a Bullet are punk rock, Long Distant Love could be on John Lennon's greatest hits, Steve's Song makes me tear up, and Consumption Junction is in a world of it's own. When I talked with them, I found out that this is the first 5 of 15 new songs that they cut at Talking House Studios in San Francisco. The EP is Self-Released, so every nickel and dime goes straight to their skinny jeans' pockets :)
