The Hush Sound is the best thing that has ever happened to me!!!

I can't believe i've only been a fan of this band for about a year. I love THS so much and everything about this album!! I even learned how to play the piano so i could play their songs. I love how none of the songs are sappy and about being in love, cause those always end up leaving me depressed. In my opinion, So Sudden is their best album, even though all of them are great. Here's my song-by-song breakdown of this awesome cd:

1. Citty Traffic Puzzle (10/10) - Quite possibly my favorite song on the whole CD!! It's a little different sound than the rest of the cd, but its so catchy! Especially at 2:06 when it starts to pick up. 2:30-3:00 literally sends chills down my spine! Bob's voice is ridiculous Greta is a great piano player!

2. Weeping Willow (8/10)- One of my least favorites, but I still like it a lot. It's a little too slow and I can't really relate to the lyrics.

3. Crawling Towards The Sun (10/10)- The first song I ever heard off of this CD and i LOVE it!! It's so upbeat and happy and reminds me of a carnival. But if you listen to the lyrics, it's about realizing that you're life isn't that great, then having a dream and learning how to turn it all around.

4. The Artist (10/10) - Aw i love this one too! It makes me think of Ma and Pa in their little house in the prairie. It's so simple yet beautiful.

5. Unsafe Safe (7/10) - Probably my least favorite song on the album. The beginning flows together well, but i really don't like the "No you won't disarm my heart" part for some resaon.

6. Momentum (10/10) - Dakishimbada!! I <3 it! Best lyrics on the whole cd. I could relate to them so well a few months ago, and was constantly playing this song along with Echo. I can't really relate anymore, but this song is still one of my favorites. I love how powerful the second half is!

7. Hourglass (10/10) - I really love singing along with this one! The piano part is excellent and makes me think of running up a huge spiral staircase for some reason. Hourglass may have the second best lyrics on the album. "This is how it ends. We believe every lie and say we'll be friends. How long will it last until we scratch all the scripts and we rework the cast?"

8. Echo (10/10) - For about the first minute (and what you hear on the 30 second sample) this song sounds really boring. But wait until 2:48, when it gets faster pased, and THEN at 3:37 when Bob starts singing. Another spine-chilling moment in the cd!

9. My Apologies (8/10) - A cute and catchy song. Nothing special about it though. Maybe i don't really like it cause i had an awful cover version of it on my ipod for so long.

10. The Market (9/10) - This song is REALLY short, but good in the same way The Artist was. I really like the "ooh woo ooh ooooh" parts, lol.

11. Tides Change (10/10) - Another really short one, but i really like the overly dramatic feel of this song. Bob's voice kinda sounds like it does in his new single, "Don't Let your Cheeks Hang Low".

12. Carry Me Home (10/10) - Yet another perfect song! It gets stuck in my head so easily!! This song reminds me a lot of "Take Me Away" by Plain White T's.

13. Eileen (10/10) - At first this song was my least favorite on the cd. I thought it was quiet and boring, and never really listened to the whole thing since it was the last song on the cd. But then i listened to the whole song, and about halfway through it does a COMPLETE tempo change and feels so...intense! I also learned that this song was about Greta's friend who died, and that made it all the more meaningful.

Overall, this CD is definitely on the list of "top 5 cds i own." I would reccomend that everyone at least try to listen to it, and if you like normal piano-y pop/rock, So Sudden will send your ears into a spastic seizure of joy!

I normally stay away from FBR bands, they all grate on my nerves. But this CD was a real breath of fresh air, I love it. I would definitely recommend this album if you can buy it.
