iTunes Review
No Oasis album, and arguably no British album in history, has had the impact of Definitely Maybe. The Smiths and the Stone Roses had released monumental albums in Eighties, but not until Oasis did a band succeed in taking the attitude of punk and blowing it up to stadium rock proportions. It was recipe that energized an entire generation of youth culture in England, and around the world. Definitely Maybe is the only album Oasis made without fame or fortune, and its songs are kept perennially fresh through their connection to teenage rock fantasies. “Rock’N’Roll Star,” “Up In the Sky,” “Supersonic,” and “Cigarettes and Alcohol” are anthems fuelled by nothing but power chords, attitude, and a keen sense of melody. There is nothing here that an adolescent garage band couldn’t pick up with a day of practice, which keeps legions of young rock hopefuls returning to Definitely Maybe year after year. The album emanates camradie and confidence, embodied by Liam Gallagher’s confrontational vocals — equal parts John Lennon and Johnny Rotten. Its massive success was proof that a band’s belief in itself was enough to elevate the music to levels of greatness.

i love oasis, but...
by mljungbergi'm sorry, i don't mean to offend anyone or knock anyone's taste or opinion, but i believe this to be a crimally overrated album. oasis has always been a fantastic band, but this lacks the creativity and diversity that were present in later releases; releases like Be Here Now which the band still chooses to denounce. i love you Oasis, but you've made better.
Greatest Oasis Album
by kydeweesThis album is one of the best debut albums ever. Every song is great and can be listened to over and over. Noel really knew how to start off right with this album. The song writing on this album is absolutely great with catchy guitar riffs, powerful rhythms, and great guitar hooks. Definitely one of the best albums of all time.
