Hammer On Anvil
Y&T is one of the most underrated and underappreciated hard rock bands of the '80 and '90s, and they still continue to play! Dave Menniketti is a master of both hard rock and blues guitar and has one of the most mainstream, leathery rock voices ever heard. His playing style is as smooth and fluid as brand new 10W-40 straight from the Pennzoil can, and the rhythms are straightforward, solid and honest. Mean Streak shows this band performing some of their tightest tracks, in particular the title track, "Mean Streak" which still makes the hairs stand up on my neck.
This remaster is stunningly clean and solid, and shows that the band's music only becomes that much more powerful when paired with the most current technology. To me, that's the sign of a great and timeless band.

Another Great Remaster
These remasters are much much better than the old CD. Even the old vinyl sounded better than those CD's. This is another gem of an album by the great Y&T. Dave Meniketti just has the touch. Now it actually sounds "alive".
