by ajorsI am so happy iTunes US is carrying this album, they need the rest of his catalogue stat! If you liked "Il etait une fois..." then this might sound strange at first. There are not as many straightforward pop hooks, but there are plenty of catchy melodies and groovy segments to keep it sing-along-able and upbeat. At the same time, there are more segments of downtempo, more experimental sounds and all in all it makes for a more full-sounding album, sparse as it may seem at times. It's sonically beautiful, and for those of you who don't "get" the whole french-canadian singer thing, Antoine Gratton is very friendly to anglo-ears so do not fear! He channels Paul McCartney & Radiohead a lot, but not in a bad or too ripoff way. Listen a few times, you won't regret it!
