Invasion(FIRST!)

I love black eyed peas but sometimes their remixes fall flat; the imma be remixes, to me aren't all that great, but the rocking that body are pretty good. I love the skrillex remix(I always do).

Remixed Feelings

Imma be honest. I absolutely hate the original version of "Imma Be". It's original vibe has way too much of an irritating crunk vibe. Now, with that being said, I think that Wolfgang Gartner turned it into a slammin' dance anthem. Kudos. I initially thought that "Rock that Body" was also passable. But, I think that Chris Lake also helped to give it a better sound than it previously had. So, overall, I am not going to recommend the entire collection or even the original songs, themselves. I prefer the two remixes that I mention in the review. That's about it. I love what BEP is doing with their music. But, it's hard to expect a hit from every song on an album (The END).

If you don't like remixes, you shouldn't be here.

I think that, if you don't like remixes you obviously will catalogue this album bad. But you have to understand that the simple versions of the songs are remixes, here you will hear the remix of the remix, saying it in a appropiate manner. So the EP don't deserves neither 5 stars nor 1. I think that the 'Skrillex Remix' of Rock That Body is very good ONLY if you like remixes. The Chris Lake one is very appropiate to be a remix, if you don't want the (probable) annoying beat of the other, this will be more suitable for you. The Apl De Ap remix is more slow, so tha concept of rock a body is very ironic. I like the Imma Be 'Danger Olympic', the 'Wolfgang' is a pure electro tune. Finally, the 'Poet Name' is very slow. At least it seems that it's a homogenous E.P. refeering to the rhythm. After all, it's all by your taste.

The Black Eyed Peas transcended hip-hop to become one of the most commercially successful pop groups of the 2000s. Their career began modestly, with a pair of albums inspired by the positive-minded likes of A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul. After adding Fergie, the group’s pop instincts reached full flight. Ignited by the Top Ten hit “Where Is the Love?” and the Grammy-winning party anthem “Let’s Get It Started,” the group scored three multi-platinum albums in 2003’s Elephunk, 2005’s Monkey Business,...
