our kids love rock dvds
Dan Zanes' DVD was a favorite in our house for a loooong time (it didn't come out of the DVD player until we got "We Are the Laurie Berkner Band" earlier this week). Our kids love Dan's Noggin videos and Laurie's videos look an awful lot like her Noggin videos, too. Goodbye silly dancing animals, hello kids-rock videos!
My kids love it....and so do we!
We bought this after seening DZ and Friends live. If you want to introduce your kids to REAL music - the stuff they could listen to for the rest of their lives, then introduce them them to DZ and Friends. Folk, rock, blues, reggae, rap, zydecco - all with a quirky funky kid flair. Father Goose rules!!!
Lots of fun and on constant rotation at our house!
We traveled 350 miles with our 2 year old daughter to see Dan Zanes & Friends perform in April and bought this CD and the DVD version shortly thereafter. To say that our daughter loves this album would be a gross understatement. She is a Dan Zanes FREAK and particulalrly likes this collection because it reminds her of the concert she saw. She loves the Father Goose songs (and I have to confess that I love them too...he's brilliant!). Within weeks she started running around the house singin "Pay Me My Money Down / Pay Me or Go to Jail!", the "Hokey Pokey". Not to mention that the "ABC" tune had her singing the complete alphabet in no time flat. Great work, Dan. We'd travel another 300 miles to see you play again.
