Great Album, problem w/ one song

by Merope

Foucault is a beautiful musician, one of those happy/sad balladeers. Problem, though, with MIles from the Lightning: there is a one minute plus gap of silence in the middle of the song.

"Miles from the Lightning" strikes straight to the heart

by Brownstock

Jeffrey Foucault takes off from a long line of great singer-songwriters. His evocative melodies and kaleidoscopic images tap into your emotional core. Foucault's singing is reminiscent of Jackson Browne's inflection and, more recently, John Gorka's powerful intonation. Foucault's influences seem myriad, including Dylan's poetic lyricism, Leonard Cohen's dramatic flare, and Gordon Lightfoot's narrative ability. He makes you feel the way Fred Holstein and Stan Rogers captivated their audiences through honest, sincere, and reflective introspection.

Incredible, old-style country singing. Listening makes me want to hop on a horse and ride off into the mountains with a guitar and a bottle of whiskey.
