Album Review
After a release that was challenging and conceptual (2008’s Complices found Latin maestro Manuel Alejandro writing and producing the album in total) Luis Miguel’s 2010 effort is a self-titled return to basics, filled with Latin pop that’s built with radio play in mind. Easygoing opener and lead-off single “Labios de Miel” sets a lighter tone right from the start, then “Mujer de Fuego” brings the ‘80s-flavored funk before “Tres Palabras” becomes the album’s first ballad, and a very lush one at that. The cycle repeats 'til the album comes to a close, and while some might think Miguel’s coasting after gaining artistic credibility with Complices, fans who gravitate toward his ‘80s releases will find this one a welcome flashback.

The Best Male Vocalist -- Yes -- In the World
Okay folks. I don't speak over ten words of Spanish, but I discovered Luis Miguel over 15 years ago while channel surfing and running across Luis Miguel singing on a Spanish speaking TV station. From that point, I was hooked. This man is quite frankly the best male vocalist in the world today in the pop music arena. I've seen him in concert twice--and he's a true professional who gives his all to the audience. And they love him for it. This Christmas album by Luis Miguel is simply beautiful and is already a classic. His voice and style are superb! You won't go wrong in adding this Christmas album to your growing collection!
A CHRISTMAS CD THAT WILL BECOME A CLASSIC!!!
I love the music, it sounds like no other LM record, is voice is divine, and sure that this CD will become an instant classic, I wish he included a song in english...its a must have for those hollydays..
Mexico's Sun Does Christmas!
Luis Miguel offers us a Christmas album like only he can! My only complaint is that three of the songs are less than 2 minutes running time. Still, listening to these holiday gems in Spanish and in Luis Miguel's impeccable style is truly a delight. The only thing I don't understand is why iTunes decided to label it "CLEAN LYRICS" as if there were an EXPLICIT version. Luis Miguel is no rapper that needs to use derrogatory language in his songs and much less in a HOLIDAY album!
