Simply beautiful
by SultanofspeedThis music fills a hole you did not know you had in your soul. Listen to tracks like "resistance" and "inshallah" and you will know what I mean. Close your eyes and listen to the background sounds ( I love how they incorporate normal day to day life into the music). You really feel like you are on a trip through the Arabian penninsula. On a stressful day this is like a mini vacation.
Haunting, ethereal, and earthy
by WickedgrrlI just love this music! I have quite a collection of this type of music already, so to find an entire CD that is worth listening to without skipping tracks is certainly a find. Azam Ali is a favorite artist of mine and I have a few CDs by her and another group, Niyaz, so I was happy to see her work on this collection. This music makes you think of oases, wide uninterrupted expanses of sand and sky, and a timeless, seamless existence of culture and myth. This CD will not disappoint.
Longing
