love her voice
I really like this album. Khrystian has a unique voice that for some reason I can't stop listening to. Plus it's so great to hear songs about real love, not the fakey stuff that's all over the top 20.
Great tunes, with depth!
So, there are a lot of cute girls out there with some talent who can play an instrument and hold a tune. But they rarely have any depth to their lyrics. They mostly revolve around a relationship gone wrong, a night at a dance club gone wrong, or a ditsy country chorus one-liner.
Not so with Khrystian Lewis. Each one of her songs on this EP are flowing with new and original lines and rich emotional experience that I can only describe as "right". She's got kind of a folk/rock thing going on that is smoothe and easy to listen to, and her lyrics have a depth uncommon for the genre.
Give it a listen and tell me if I'm lying. This stuff is different, and very, very good.
Mine... nearly perfect
I'm not gonna lie. There is definitely room for improvement in this album. But not much!! The whole album expresses a truth that so needed to told and does so beautifully.
With Taylor Swift releasing her newest single "Mine" there's a comparison that simply begs to be expounded on. As far as musicality, I would rate them equally. (and I love Taylor Swift, fyi) but beyond that, the equality quickly falls out of balance and goes to Khrystian's side. I heard both songs today, expecting to be impressed by both. Taylor's let me down- it was about nothing! Nothing but a process that scared me "you made a rebel out of a careless man's careful daughter..." Makes you want to weep. There are so many rebels made out of careful girls with careless fathers, generation after generation. Then I listened to Khrystian's album. Strength and Purity poured from each note. Strength of a pure and mighty *living* love. Thanks for clearing my vision and speaking to my heart Khrystian. God be with you.
