First on Oricon, Fantastic Single
Gackt's most recent single, composed especially for the drama Fuurin Kazan. "Returner" is a fantastic song, one of my personal favorites - written to follow after "Mind Forest" on the Crescent album, but stands beautifully on its own. Harder but clean rock that follows his trademark falsetto, this song has everything that makes Gackt exceptional. Also lovely to hear are Cube and Birdcage, notably these Drug Party versions. A must for any enthusiast of Gackt :)
From one Dear to another
I was looking around, and on a whim I type in Gackt. Boy was I shocked and elated to find so many songs I've been searching for!
Returner Yami no Shuuen is a beautiful song that is supposed to be from the view point of the husband that goes to war, and his wife that stays home and wories for his return. A gorgeous song, Gackt seems to make your heart melt with his voice, and you can't help but feel a sense of loss as the song ends. A must have for any Dear!!
Gackt never ceases to amaze me...
Some artists release only a few singles worth buying; Gackt is definitely NOT one of those artists. Returner - Yami No Syuuen does not disappoint in the least, as the title song is beautifully heart-wrenching. I have most of Gackt’s music, and I’ve yet to find a song I can honestly say I don’t think is good. This is coming from a fairly harsh critic, who rarely buys more than three songs from an album. Gackt is truly an extraordinary musician. His voice contains a lot of emotion, and the extent to which he expresses the feelings of the songs is stunning. This is truly worth your money and time.
