Great sound with lots of variety... this album is it's own playlist
Straddle Daddy is a great rock-funk hybrid that includes elements of early Clapton guitar and pure American drum and guitar beats with a harder, more contemporary vocal and funk. They line up on a punk-pop drum beat and back down just before they loose their melody to straight punk drumming. Not just college ska, not just funk but not guitar rock either. It’s the kind of music that you wan to listen to while driving down the long sunny road but it would be great at a live show and it would get everyone off heir feet. While the music is great, you have to applaud the fun, outrageous lyrics too. Favorite tracks: ultra funky anthem “We Got Something”, best in the car “Sunglasses”; most outrageous lyrics “My Supply”. And is American Made an homage to Bruce Springstein?
StraddleDaddyRocks!!!!
StraddleDaddy has a great style of music. I don't no if I'd call it Alternative, its sort of a combo of classic rock and hip hop. It's pretty good. I can't wait until their new album comes out. I hope it has more of a rock edge to it.
