Great Rock 'n' Roll Album!!!

I snagged this album a while back, and I couldn't be more impressed by this indie group from South Dakota (yeah, I know, where is that anyway?). Very solid front to back, and definitely rock literate: imagine if Marc Bolan was fronting a supergroup consisting of members of the Crickets and two guys from the Monkees (possibly Davie Jones, although more likely the guy in the stocking cap and the one that looks actually looks like a monkey). Anyway, essential highlights are Modern Text and Stains of the Saints. I actually heard Stains of the Saints on Grey's Anatomy, so you better snatch this one up before the Weather Machines are opening for the Foo Fighters and your little sister is humming their next single at Thanksgiving.

Superb!

Tip-top rock and roll action is what you will get, lyrically and melodically speaking, with the Weather Machines. Get ready to be forced into a hand clapping and finger snapping trance. "Alone In Shiki" is ultra catchy and "Stains of Saints" is hauntingly handsome. In the past eight months I have listened to these songs more than any other songs in my life. This is music is a good time. But don't take my word for it!

Great Rock Album

Totally enjoyable from start to finish- caught "modern text on love" via Pandora, and bought based on that... and it's by FAR not the best song on here! the Latest in Company Brides and Last Stop speak to my modern worker-life... Enjoy it!
