Album Review

This one improves upon Somebody, with many of the same accompanists and styles represented. Dover's soaring voice is lovely and pure, and the arrangements are lively and interesting.

Customer Reviews

Pure Heaven!

Dover's voice is like an angel's. It's so achingly pure and full that it leaves you sitting in wonder. Every song she sings, she makes it her own. Each song is its own story, with its own dynamics.

Beautiful voice!

Dover's voice is pure silk! "Summer Before the War" is exquisite, like a beautiful day, though just a tad wistful. "Laddie Lie Near Me" is a yearning beauty. Her "Siuil a Ruin" is the best version, and "Ubi Caritas" is really good. Buy the whole thing, but trust me on the songs recommended here.

celtic music

From the time I learned about the Lady of the Lake and Excalibur, the British Isles have had a mystic hold on my imagination. Over the years, many voices have held echoes of times past and yet to be. After living for fwo years in Scotland, Connie Dover has brought the memories back into focus. All of her albums contain the feelings of generations of Celtic people. The wonder of such a lush and passionate voice is humbling. She is the One. The touch stone. And her eyes, Wow! Listen to her music and be reborn. Buy her CD's and keep a little piece of Heaven with you, always.
