Customer Reviews

Jesus can change you, pick you up when nothing else ever could, KJ points you toward Him.

I am not and never have been a big rap fan actually, but KJ brings these songs in a real fasion. That for us who spent time living as of the world for years of our life, before finding Christ, can really realate to. I love some of KJs other stuff to, anyone who hasnt heard Dear Slim and Dear Slim part 2 needs too (Are U real? and Life after death, are also two of my other favorites not on this album) Back to this album, its a little harder edged then some of his past songs I have came to appreciate. But he does it well, if he went any harder then I am not sure if it would be for me. But KJ comes strong with this album and a blessing to my soul, he has not sold out to the world. Most of the songs on this CD can help lift you up, point you to the only one that can give hope to even the most broken soul, and wake you back up. So many of the so called hard rock Christian bands, have been comeing out with very watered down albums in the last two years. I have downloaded full albums to delete half of them because I couldnt really tell it was a christian song, from some of the biggest christian groups out there. Guess they want to make a few more bucks, thank you KJ for remembering Him throughout this album. My favorites are Wake Up, Fan Mail, Will you ever know, You can still come back and Youll never take me down - I think many of us who call our selves Christians need to Wake up get a KJV bible (Less watered down, more accurate, does not change or leave anything out) and listen to this song - It aint easy (being Christian)

WAY TO GO KJ!!

Once again KJ-52 has delievered yet another show stopping album. This guy is off the chain and i love his music. I also love that he can do it for God and isn't scared bout it. If you like Eminem in the secular and maybe you're tryin to turn your life around and "I'll Fly Away" isn't mackin it for ya, try KJ-52 out, you won't be disappointed!!

Jonah's Back...

I'm a pretty diehard KJ fan, but that doesn't make me partial. In reality, this is an awesome CD. While the guy isn't the best rapper to ever live, he does quite well and represents Christ in an overt and fun way. I personally like his rap/rock cuts and this time around he does more than one. The cut, "Wake Up" is perhaps his best one he has ever done, featuring Toby Morrell from Emery. He comes with the deep topics and simple partying that first put him on the map. If you liked his Behind the Music record, then you'll love this continuance of representing Christ in a fun and awesome way.

Biography

Genre: Christian & Gospel

Years Active: '00s

Raised in a rough-and-tumble suburb of Tampa, FL, KJ-52 (real name: Jonah Sorrentino) was the product of a broken home, and eventually found himself mixed up in drugs, drinking, and chasing skirts. At 15 a family member challenged him to take up Christ, and being born again gave him the strength to move on. But rather than give up hip-hop and its tacit endorsement of sin, KJ poured his faith into his hip-hop. Even his name was a devotional. "KJ" was an abbreviation of his old rap name, but "52" (pronounced...
