A rock band for everyone, whether you like country or not

I happen to dislike country music. It's not my forte and no matter how many songs I listen to of the genre, I dislike it. So years ago when I heard that the band The Lost Trailers would be opening for Dispatch in boston, I was hesitant, as I heard that they had a country flavor. It's a good thing I went to that show. They do have a county flavor, but it's awesome. They're a great rock band with such an original sound. I recommend these original versions rather than the over-produced versions you find on "Welcome To The Woods." Both are great albums, but I reccomend this much more. Listen to: "Walking Blind" "Birds and Boston" "Long Fall" and 'Sitting on top of the world" One of my favorite bands.

There is a time, caught in a moment

The trailers have a new, cleaned up country sound and to that I say more power to them...but before they became a nashville band they were en route to becoming a great american band..sadly that doesn't pay rent. Stokes' writing is excellent throughout and while his voice isn't the prettiest thing in the world its as real as can be. If vocals are your thing check out Lee on Walking Blind and morning light...well worth your dime.

Biography

Formed: July 04, 2000

Genre: Country

Years Active: '00s

The framework for country band the Lost Trailers has been around ever since guitarist and songwriter Stokes Nielson and a high school friend of his from Atlanta, keyboardist/vocalist Ryder Lee, released the independent CD The Story of the New Age Cowboy. It worked out so well that Nielson took the songs to the Nashville bar circuit, playing with Lee, a drummer, and a bassist as Stokes Nielson & the Lost Trailers, a name that was spawned from the fact that their tour trailer had been stolen twice...
