What a marvelous sophomore release!
JJ writes songs that everyone can relate to or identify with. This album explores the ups and downs of relationships - with friends, lovers, and more. Highlights for me include "I Mean Well", "Still Think About You", and "Someone Else's Problem". As a musician, I'm continually amazed at how JJ manages to wield vocal harmonies and funky guitar riffs & solos into catchy pop-rock songs you can't help singing along to! Kudos to Todd Wright and David Wolfert as well for their work in co-writing many of ths songs on this album.
Uphill to Purgatory
Seen him around NYC for the last 10 years and started listening to him when he was with the Grasshoppers. Finnaly this guy is getting well deserved recognition for his music. Such emotion is felt on this album, get involved on this one. Better yet, see him play out and you will come back to itunes and download his stuff.
