iTunes Review
Razorlight’s third studio album is its most ambitiously produced, an often willful turn away from the band’s past. The opening track/first single “Wire to Wire,” finds songwriter/vocalist Johnny Borrell (who shares writing credits on four tracks with since-departed drummer Andy Burrows) turning sharply from the band’s anthem-rock roots into emotive, piano-driven balladry. That new emotional resonance surfaces again on the standouts “60 Thompson” and the slow-burn build-up of “Stinger,” a balancing act Borrell pushes completely over the top (with less success on “Blood for Wild Blood” and “Monster Boots”) before “House,” a paean to his dead father, triumphs by the sheer force of his personality. Ironically, it’s the band’s more familiar material here — infectious, Britpop-suffused tracks like “Tabloid Lover” and “North London Trash” — that takes focus off the album's otherwise more mature, emotionally-challenging thread. Call it a stylistic breakthrough haunted as well by the ghosts of Razorlight’s past.

On the fence about it ...
by Joan from Puerto RicoThis is a different Razorlight from the one in the previous albums. As always happens when you try something new and different, sometimes it works and sometimes it just doesn't. I really care for half of the songs on this album. Johnny manages to delivers some great vocal performances. I won't beat them (to hard) for trying. If you are still on the fence, I recommend track #3 or any from #8 to #11, and see what you think of them.
Nice Return to Form
by Orville G.After being disappointed by the second album, i'm glad to see that Razorlight is back doing what they do best just playing music that made them great in the first place.
Grows On You
by TaprootGirl3I have to say when i first listened to it, i was like wow what is this. The more you listen to it the more it grows on you. Its different but in a good way. Its something to listen to while chillin or on a long drive.
