Description

Knit Counter is a convenient way to store stitch counters and project information for multiple knitting projects.

Each project can have as many counters as you like, and all counters are highly customisable. You can choose the name, the starting value and even link counters together, so one counter increments another. There's also an info screen that lets you note down the pattern name, yarn and needles used, or any other information related to the project.

Other features include a handy frog button that allows you to decrease a counter if you have to rip back rows, and increase/decrease alerts which can be set on specific rows so you never forget an increase or decrease row again.

Details and documentation are available at https://cordlessdog.com/knitcounter

Also available on the iPhone App Store from Cordless Dog:

Knit Counter Lite: All of Knit Counter's great features for free, but limited to a single project.

Almost Perfect

Knit Counter helps me keep track of exactly where I'm at with every knitting project. It tells me which row I'm at, keeps track of repeats by linking counters, let's me know about decreases or increases. The one thing that would make it perfect for me is adding a "time elapsed" type of timer for each project. Knowing how long it takes to knit a project from start to finish is very useful for many reasons but it's especially important if you sell your work.

Almost perfect.

I like this counter. I’ve tried everything and this most suits my needs. I love that I can add and link as many counters as I need to my projects. I especially love that I can “daisy chain” my linked counters. Thrilled I can add and easily view notes and photos. I currently have seven projects going and I love how organized this helps me keep them. No lost papers or battered notebooks, which leaves room for more junk in my project bag. (Yay)
My one qualm is: I wish I could highlight which counter I’m working on inside a project and lock the others.
I’m doing these fantastic lace evergreen socks rn. They’re one at a time and I have counters going for each section. I’m on sock #2 and I clear each counter and restart as I get to it. It helps me keep my place in the pattern and see what’s next. So right now, I’m tapping on the fourth number in a row of eight and even though I have them named differently, I keep tapping the wrong row and have to fix it.

Best Knitting Counter

This is the best app for knitting, not too complicated or long setup. Plenty of useful features to keep track of your projects makes the upgrade from the lite version a worthwhile investment. Picking up a WIP after months is easy when you know exactly which row/repeat/section you left off at. Link your rows to increases or decreases for easy shaping, create all the counters you want for each piece of your project.
