Description
A breakthrough book about talent, passion, and achievement from one of the world's leading thinkers on creativity and self-fulfillment.
The Element is the point at which natural talent meets personal passion. When people arrive at the Element, they feel most themselves and most inspired and achieve at their highest levels. With a wry sense of humor, Ken Robinson looks at the conditions that enable us to find ourselves in the Element and those that stifle that possibility. Drawing on the stories of a wide range of people, including Paul McCartney, Matt Groening, Richard Branson, Arianna Huffington, and Bart Conner, he shows that age and occupation are no barrier and that this is the essential strategy for transforming education, business, and communities in the twenty-first century.

Brilliant!!!
With all the debates going on about education, Ken Robinson's book, takes a refreshing approach. This is what should drive our purpose in education. If we took the time to help students to discover "their element" instead of force-feeding a strict one-dimensional test-infused curriculum, we truly would transform education in one generation. Every superintendent, principal, teacher, and parent needs to read this book. Every university should require their school of education to not only read it themselves, but include it in their teacher candidate's arsenal. It changed my life. Ken Robinson is a great storyteller, weaving together many stories into a powerful statement on where we are and where we ought to be.
Excellent book!
Ken Robinson is creative writer who can inspire people through his influential and powerful words. This book is the ultimate guide to understand what it means to find an occupation that you love, excel at, and are naturally good at. I immensely enjoyed reading this book because it made so much sense; it shed light on my future as it will to everyone who reads it. I highly recommend this book and even if you already have a job that you love and are naturally good at, this is still a great read. Thank you Ken!!!
a Must!
Ken's book is simply a gem of wisdom coupled with suggested action. Should be required reading for anyone with ability, which is everyone.
